The Study group for Region- Land- and Water history has as its main objective to stimulate local historical research. It tries to function as a platform and meeting place for local history researchers, amateurs as wel as professionals. Therefore it organizes conferences on theoretical and methodological subjects and also meetings during which researchers can discuss their findings. Furthermore it gives lectures and publishes articles on various subjects concerning local history.
