Medieval charters

Oarkonderûnte

The Oarkonderûnte is a wurkgroup of professional and amateur mediaevalists who assemble four times a year to discuss medieval texts on the Frisian lands, both philologically and historically. This wurkgroup was founded in 1963 to promote the study of the Oldfrisian charters that have been preserved. Oldfrisian texts still receive most attention, but sources in Dutch and Latin can be discussed too. One can become member on the recommendation of the presidency. President is prof. dr. J.A. Mol, secretary is drs. H. Nijdam.
